Camp Penuel Costa Rica is a mission of Camp Penuel, Ironton, Missouri. Our mission is to lead Costa Rican children ages 7-11 to know Jesus as their personal Savior in a recreational atmosphere. Our vision is to become self-sustainable through using organic farming principles on a large portion of our 67-acre farm, growing a diversity of fruits and vegetables as well as producing cheese from a herd of 15 cows. As we move towards this goal, we will be able to serve more and more children and their families as our operational costs are reduced. Our camp is free of charge to all who come, and we started receiving children in 2006.

Pastor Eddy Perez studied both theology and medicine in Cuba. There he served as a doctor and then became a preacher of the gospel. Due to persecution, he fled to the U.S. in 2000 but his family could not join him until a year later. He began serving at His Light Ministries – Ministerio SU Luz, in Miami, FL in 2008. The church’s proximity to Cuba offers a unique ministry opportunity.
The congregation’s radio ministry broadcasts into Cuba on Sunday mornings via a station called Radio Luz, 1080 on your AM dial. This program shares the gospel with the south Florida community as well as with listeners in Cuba. Often, when people move to Miami from Cuba their home church is His Light Ministries – Ministerio SU Luz because of the connection through the radio program.
Recently the program has lost several major contributors. If you or your congregation would like to donate to this ministry that reaches beyond our border over the airways, please contact Pr. Eddy at [email protected] Please lift this ministry in prayer.

Lutheran Bible Translators (LBT) is an independent Lutheran mission organization dedicated to helping bring people to faith in Jesus Christ. We strive to do this through our missionaries and staff, who work to make the Word of God available to those who do not yet have it in the language of their hearts. We have been advancing this mission since 1964. Of the more than 6900 different languages spoken in the world, more than 4500 of these languages (66%) have no portion of Scripture translated. More than 350 million people around the world do not have access to God’s Word in their heart language… their mother tongue. We believe that no language or cultural barrier should exclude people from receiving God’s Word. That’s why LBT works with Lutheran church bodies and Bible translation organizations worldwide – so that every person can have the opportunity to read, hear, and, with the help of the Holy Spirit, understand God’s Word. People respond and learn the best when they receive Scripture in the language of their hearts.

The Lutheran Malaria Initiative is an unprecedented and historic movement of Lutherans in the United States working together to fight malaria – a preventable and treatable disease that kills nearly 700,000 people each year, mostly in sub-Saharan Africa. The disease – transmitted to people through bites of malaria-carrying mosquitoes – takes the life of a child every 60 seconds. LMI works to teach people to recognize the symptoms of malaria, create awareness of prevention methodologies, and provide treatment and prevention resources. Our goal is to raise $45 million in the global effort to help end malaria deaths in Africa by 2015. With your help, and by God’s grace, we can do it.Address:Lutheran World Relief/Lutheran Malaria Initiative700 Light StreetBaltimore, MDUnited States 21230Website: www.lutheranmalaria.orgFacebook: facebook.com/LuthWorldReliefTwitter: @LuthWorldRelief501c3? The New Hope Mission Society is a Christian community that desires to bring the love of Jesus to the Muslim world. NHMS was formed in 2005 by members of Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota, in response to a presentation that told a riveting story of the witness of Pastor K.K. Alavi, a little but bold converted Muslim who was now a pastor in India. The congregation was so moved by what they heard that they soon decided not only to support this evangelical witness as a congregation but to create a network of support. In the past few years, numerous congregations and individuals have found common cause and have together been giving generous support to this mission endeavor.
Pastor Alavi risks life itself to stay faithful to the Great Commission. This bold witness is leading many Muslims in southwest India to experience new life living under the gracious Lordship of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Pastor Alavi has found ways to present Jesus Christ to Muslims that are proving effective. To even explore the Christian faith in public can be life-threatening. Knowing the cost personally, this ordained Lutheran minister has found the use of literature that can be mailed and studied in private a first effective step in introducing Muslims to Christ. Pastor Alavi follows this up with personal contacts through a network of new believers, and many are being reached with the gospel.
NHMS has expanded its support to a Christian-based school in India, an evangelist in Nigeria, and witness to international college students in the Minneapolis area. As funding increases, NHMS will expand its evangelical outreach to Muslims in another site.Address:New Hope Mission Society335 Main St. S.Hutchinson, MN 55350Phone: 320-587-2093Email: [email protected]501(c)3? Project VIDEO is a bold new media initiative that Wycliffe Bible Translators assigned Don & Pam Leonard to spearhead in Asia (2009) after serving for twenty years in the Philippines (1979-1999) pioneering the use of vernacular Gospel videos. Ethnic evangelists do the ministry by making two kinds of video productions:• DUBBED VIDEOS – recording proprietary films like the Visual Bible productions of Matthew, John and Acts into local languages.• ORIGINAL VIDEOS – Producing films with local believers inspired by a Scripture teaching or a classic Christian story like Pilgrim’s Progress.
LCMC congregations can partner directly with these evangelists by:• providing them with equipment and training.• sending a volunteer to Asia on a short-term mission trip.Address:Video Project803 1st Dr. NWAustin, MN 55912Phone Number: 507.460.8238 (cell)Email Address: Video Project501(c)3? Yes
The Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY) is a national Church in Ethiopia proclaiming the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ. The EECMY is the largest Lutheran Church in Africa with some five million members.
Tabor is a vibrant congregation within EECMY. A partnership was formed when Senior Pastor Dawit y Wario spoke to an AD gathering in Fall 2012.
Augustana District is called to stand with EECMY to support evangelists, to provide EECMY Seminarian support, and purchase bicycles and motorcycles for evangelists to travel to communities to spread the Gospel. Three worship centers are in the process of construction, one in a very challenging Muslim community.

(Young Adult Missionary Internship)
The Young Adult Missionary Internship is a Christian mission program designed for young adults (ages 19-25) to experience life as a missionary in a cross-cultural environment so that they can better discern God’s call for their lives.
That young adults would grow in Christian faith through cross-cultural experiences that expands their understanding of who God is, what God is doing around the world, and how they fit into God’s mission.
That young adults would live out that faith through sacrificial service to others.
That young adults would grow as future mission-minded leaders of the church, possibly pursuing lifelong vocations as cross-cultural missionaries.
Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
– Matthew 28:18-20
